What alternative treatments should they try? Have already been to docs but no improvement

There are 2 different treatments the doctors give so if the 1sy hasn't worked they should go back.
The adult version is like Scabies and so they should be treated for that.

Mange and fungal skin things are very different requiring different treatments. They should see the doctor again really.

ringworm ?

I got it from our family cat when I was a kid.

NomDeBroomstick · 20/10/2007 22:41

(ringworm is fungal btw, not an actual worm...)

It does take ages (4 - 6 weeks) for it to clear up using Canesten cream, but my cats had to be treated with Betadine (iodine based wash) and they cleared up within a week.

thanks for replies - apparantly they have been treating the cat for years and it doesnt go away. They are considering re-homing the cat. will pass on all your tips, thanks again
