Had a recent pelvic X-ray and was asked on leaving if the issue was worse on my right side when it's in fact my left hip and lower back which is agonising. Pain.

Am I reading too much into the fact she asked if it was the opposite side after she had looked at image?

Right and left mix up? I broke my left leg and consultant wrote right leg in my notes.

Sometimes pain is referred and you feel it on the opposite side to where the actual problem is. I had pain in my left hip and it was because my sacroiliac joint was out of kilter- osteo had to treat more on the right side to straighten out.

@BrigitsBigKnickers @dizzydizzydizzy
Thanks so much for your replies.

I'm seeing an osteo too and everything feels jammed from the lower back to left hip and 'sticks' so think I'm just worrying that they won't find anything on X-ray and then what?!

Just feel so down with it alll

My DF had pain in his left hip, the problem was actually in his right knee but as he had been compensating he felt the pain in his opposite hip.
