I'm not a particularly regular drinker but I am finding that when I do drink now I turn into a bloated whale. Last night I drank a lot (for me) and 3 large glasses of wine (an entire bottle).
Today I not only feel like a swollen whale but I could not fit into the skirt I was trying to wear (that was quite loose on me three days ago). I jumped on the scale and I'm 10 lbs over my normal weight and it was only last Sunday when I last weighed myself. Clearly it is water weight as it would be very unusual for someone to gain 10 lbs in such a short space of time.
I've seen this before in the past when I've had a few glasses of wine. It takes about 3 or 4 days for the horrible bloat to go away.
Does this mean there is something wrong with me physically, or is this quite a normal response to drinking too many glasses of wine in one evening??
