Gallstones HELP

I was taken into hospital on weds after being sick all day and being in major pain. Had a scan and i have a a number of gall stones and my gall bladder is inflamed
They are planning to remove my gall bladder once the infection has settled but for now i have been sent home.
Im still in a lot of pain and feeling sick. Any advice? I have been told to stick to low fat diet, and go back if im not managing pain.
I was allowed to keep LO with me, so n ot as bad as it could have been.

Lisa, Really hope you feel better soon.

I don't think one codeine tablet would have too much effect on your baby just watch your LO closely for a few hours. I took 2 doses of 2 tablets before I found out I shouldn't be taking it But my older (14 month old) DD is fine.

If you can't tolerate solid food, you can get those flavored powders for water which contain all your essential salt and whatever's we need.

I have graduated from salt powders, to soup and today to salad...going to try your suggestion of boiled rice as I am heartly sick of salad.

i had rice and chicken for dinner, but couldnt eat lots. am feeling a little better this last hour so am hoping i can sleep ok, well as you can with a 4 week old.
