Occasional stomach ache - always exactly the same spot

Does anyone else get stomach ache always in the same spot. I might get it a couple of times a month or go months not feeling it. It’s to the right of my belly button and an inch or two down. It’s not appendix as I had them out when I was 10 and it’s not as low as that anyway. It’s always a dull ache - feels like it’s deep in the flesh and a hot water bottle helps. It can pass quite quickly some times and other times it lasts a few hours. I’ve gone to sleep with it and woken in the night with it. Farting or having a bowel movement generally helps alleviate it but sometimes struggle to pass the wind. I thought for a while it seemed to coincide with eating lots of pasta but I think I’ve discredited that one. I’ve got bad health anxiety and am two weeks into taking anti depressants to help. Today’s been my first anxious day in a couple of weeks. Wondering whether I should mention this to the gp when we catch up in a couple of weeks. I’ve not been to the dr about it so far because it’s difficult to go to the dr when nothing’s wrong. Also it seems to be more evening that I get this than any other time of day.

I'm exactly the same at the moment and rocking the anxiety thing too. GP prodded me and wants to send me for a scan for gallbladder and/or kidney stones.
I went to gynaecologist privately in a panic about ovaries but all is fine there.
I wonder if it's maybe just a bit of IBS which seems a cover all.
I do sympathise though. I cried all over the gynaecologist and she's given me some herbal calming stuff but I think I might get the scan done privately as I'm so anxious.
It's exactly as you describe, doesn't stop me doing anything, is just sort of there (sometimes) Flowers

Spot on. I think it is ibs. Back in September I was given some ibs meds after two weeks of loose stools and it did the job. Would you say it’s a deep ache almost feels like it’s in the flesh of your belly? While I can pinpoint it, pressing on the area when it aches doesn’t make the pain worse at all. And agree it’s not something that stops me from getting on with things. It’s just achey and unpleasant.

It could be ovulation. I went for an ultrasound on my ovaries and she showed me my ovary with the egg and said it was my left one, you ovulate from one or the other. Lo and behold that month I had twinges on the left side. There was nothing else going on there if that helps.

No it’s not that. I last had it the day before my period. There’s no rhyme or reason as to when it happens and it feels a bit higher up than where I’d get ovulation pain normally.

Could it be adhesions caused by earlier appendix surgery. They have similar symptoms to IBS and usually symptomatic many years after initial surgery when they become fibrous.

Funny I did wonder that. Also had two c sections and wondered whether scar tissue/
Growth might be causing it. I will mention to the gp.

Yes, I'm even wondering if it's muscular from sitting poorly postured in front of the PC day in day out.
