Waiting for blood test results...

...and getting in a panic!

I saw the GP yesterday as I've been having some lower left abdomen pain along with some backache and hip/buttock pain.

He examined me and said everything felt okay, but said I should have blood tests and a US scan to see what's what.

I had the bloods taken yesterday morning - the tests were for ca125, CRP, FBC, LFT AND U&E.

Now I'm sitting at home and wondering if the phone will ring to say that the bloods have shown something. Based on previous experience with thyroid tests, I'm sure I would get a call if something is wrong, but it's the waiting that I can't deal with.

I need to get a grip!

A little bit similar to mine I started with lower left abdomen pain but I have reflux and have had it for many months, I’ve had h pylori stool test negative result and celiac test I have pressure pain all over abdomen and into left hip was sent for ct scan abdomen n pelvic my results are due on fri

Try and relax I know it’s hard :). Unless their an emergency test the bloods take atleast a week to come back currently.

I had test results within 3 days recently - I’m sure if there’s anything abnormal they’ll tell you as quickly as they can. Worrying won’t make it quicker though so just have to sit tight I know it’s difficult! Do you have your ultrasound booked in?

Did he discuss with you what those tests were and what he suspected?

I’ve had my results back and everything is normal which is great. No date for scan yet, I expect that may take a while in the current circumstances.

The pain has been better over the last day or so, but this has happened before where it goes then comes back again. I feel better knowing my bloods are clear though. Hope you all get answers for your issues.
