13 month old with hacking cough can I give her anything?

Bless her she's had a really chesty cough for a couple of days and tonight she's not settling. I suspect her throat and chest are sore and she's probably exhausted with all the coughing. She's coughing to the point of wretching so it sounds like she's trying to get it up but can't. Is there any cough medicine I can give to a 13 month old or are there any alternatives?

yes, there is a baby meltus and boots do their own brand cough syrup.
I think I saw a new calpol cough syrup the other day as well.

Thanks both, DH has been out and purchased boots stuff which is apparently the same stuff as tix and calpol.
