I found a lump, or more accurately a large lumpy area, in my boob a couple of weeks ago. It’s in the breast that has always been slightly bigger, and was the preferred side for breastfeeding for both my kids (I’ve been pregnant or breastfeeding for the last 5+ years), and I’m still feeding my 2 year old, although very infrequently now. It’s moveable, and kind of feels like normal breast tissue, until you compare it to the other one, then it feels massive!
I went to the GP, who had a feel and went “oh that’s big!”
and referred my under the 2 week rule to the breast clinic. I got my appointment through, and due to covid it’s not for 4 weeks
Very luckily my DH has medical insurance through work, so I’ve got a private appointment tomorrow evening. I can’t take the stress of the wait for the NHS one, although I’d much rather do it on the nhs.
I wasn’t too worried about it at all really, but I’ve just had a doctor google session and freaked myself out! I’d restrained from googling for so long, why have I done it to myself?
Anyone else going through this at the moment? Or any words of advice?
