I've cleaned it all up with antiseptic wipe AND soap and water, can't see any dirt in the wound. Put a plaster on it.

BUT do I need to get him a tetanus booster? He's only 6 so will have had all the top up stuff fairly recently.

Phone nhs direct and ask or your drs surgery

Thanks - phoned GP surgery and the receptionist said that he had a tetanus injection in 2005 but if I was concerned to take him up to A&E

I dunno ... should I be concerned?

(for the record one half of my brain is screaming RUSTY NAIL RUSTY NAIL TAKE HIM NOW! and the other is saying don't be daft he'll be fine.)

Take him if you're concerned. My friend said that a dr would rather send a healthy child home...
