Have had pains just below ribs on right hand side on and off for 6 months or so I would say. Felt it again last night and thought best see GP, they got me in today and took urine sample, booked me in for bloods and referred for a scan. Said he was possibly concerned about my appendix and that needed ruled out, he never mentioned gallstones although some googling this evening has revealed my pain is in that exact location. I'm not experiencing an intense pain just a stabbing pain now and again, it disappears and can be gone for a week then be back again on and off for a day or two. Only other symptoms are I'm definitely experiencing more wind and maybe slightly off my food when I'm in pain. It's not an absolutely agonising pain that gallstones seem to be... has anyone any experience of a slow build up to gallstones or appendix problems? Or any other thoughts on what this could be? Thank you
