Constant low level cold symptoms

For around the past 2 months now I've had very frequent mild sore throat, slightly lumpy back of throat, drippy (but not excessively) nose. I've also had a couple of bouts of having a tight chest and a bit of a tickly cough. When it first started I did a Covid test which was negative.

I'm very careful about hand washing, shopping delivered, not going out much other than to walk in parks daily. I usually get a stinking cold when the weather changes around Sept but didn't this year (I guess because of not being on the Tube/office). No DCs so not catching anything from kids school. Any ideas - is it just winter? I think I have a bit of mild asthma as I can get wheezy when running/hill walking. I've improved my diet to include more veg and being better with multivitamins.

Allergies? I suffered horrendously with my hayfever over the summer. My nose is still runny & my eyes are still itchy.

Sound like allergies to me. Dust with the heating coming on?

Allergies could be an idea. I get a bit of mild hay fever from tree dander at a certain time of year in early spring. The house is all carpeted so I could try vacuuming more. I'd rather not take antihistamines as I already take antibiotics for my skin and an AD so don't want to overdo things.

Could it be chronic rhinitis caused by allergies/environment factors. A mild continuous sore throat is usually an indicator of post nasal drip. Call your GP and discuss your symptoms as you might need a nasal spray. It may not go away on its own and a nasal spray will quickly resolve the issue.
