Delay in baby vaccinations?

Hi

I've been told by my doctors surgery, that my baby won't have his 12-week vaccinations until he is at least 15 weeks, as the nurse is off sick and they can't find a replacement.

Is there an absolute latest time by which they need to have the 12 week vaccinations/ maximum gap between the 2 sets? He had his 8 week jabs on time at 8 weeks.

Mine missed 2 attempts thanks to big sis having Vs&ds so had 2nd vaccs at 16 weeks. Think we had one of the ones that would normally be with 3rd vaccs then and just one jab for the 3rd 2 weeks later.

There's some flex in the timings largely because kids do get ill with impeccable timing!

Any time up to a year is fine. My son had his third lot at 6 months

There are different vaccination schedules in different countries; the UK schedule is quite fast compared with some. This has the advantage that you are less likely to lose track and there is plenty of time to remind anyone who misses a set.

In Australia for example, what the UK gives as 2, 3, 4 months has always been 2, 4, 6 months.

15 weeks will be fine. Rotarix needs to be completed by either 24 or 26 weeks (can’t remember which!) but other than that fine.
