Diastasis Recti and exercise

Was diagnosed with it after I had DC3 in summer. Have a physio appointment next month (in person) but during the phone consultation I forgot to ask if there's any exercise I can do in the meantime. Does anyone have any advice? I've got horrendous backache and my posture is still as if I'm heavily pregnant, plus have a lot of excess fat on my stomach which is very uncomfortable. Don't have a number I can call her back on!

I have never been pregnant but for what it's worth when a lady asked what would be a good exercise for diastasis in my yoga class... The attached picture is what she was asked to form by the teacher and and pull her stomach in and out with breath. Again, I am not a doctor and don't feel comfortable recommending exercises but I do yoga and find it very good for posture and bodyache. So start yoga by watching on YouTube ...I recommend Adrienne yoga

Thank you, I have tried yoga and was hoping I might find something more focused on weight loss but I will keep doing that :)
