Odd symptoms?

Hi

I will go to the doctors but wondered if anyone could give any ideas about what is going on with my body!

I'm asthmatic ( this could be irrelevant) and I've noticed that it's been worsening for the last 6 months or so. I had been putting it down to hay fever etc. It's not too bad, but I've felt tight chested/breathless at times and have had a cough - cough seems to disappear with inhalers.

Weirdly, when I cough/sneeze I get a weird sensation in my throat/top of chest ( bottom of neck). It feels like a lump appears, which then quickly disappears. This has been happening for months.

The symptom that is now making me feel I need medical attention is that for the last few days I've had a bit of upper chest soreness when I swallow food/drink. Not really painful - I can swallow fine- but it's bothering me that is it linked to the lump feeling?

I have anxiety , and have had this for several years. I particularly worry about my health and know my anxiety causes chest tightness and I've had globus sensation in my throat thanks to it. So I anxiety could be exacerbating it. I'm also very overweight - something I need to sort out

Any ideas? I can't really get to the docs until later in the week - unless I feel it's bad enough to warrant time off work

Hiya, it's worth going to see the GP to get your throat and neck examined. However, it does sound like it may be related to the globus.
