I get hayfever but i get severe peaks in every season. Its getting me down because i find even the non drowsy antihistamines make me very drowsy. I struggle to keep awake.

Anyone take anything that isnt drowsy and works or has any other ideas?

I'm one of the lucky ones who can take Piriton without it affecting me that way, so I've never needed to try anything else. Have you spoken to a pharmacist? If you take along a list of the ones that make you drowsy, they might know of a make that uses a different drug. Worth a go.

I find mine make me drowsy in the first few weeks of taking them but then it settles down. Are you taking them every day?

March to July i have to as i get so itchy with hives and my lips swell but the sleepiness builds up and up. i basically end up asleep all weekend until i break off for August/Sept. This time of year i might take them for a few weeks in a block but i rapidy get sleepy.
