Has anyone had facet joint injections?

I'm having a few sets of facet joint injections into my lumbar spine next week. I've been told I'll be sedated due to the location. Has anyone had these lately? How soon were you able to move? How did you feel the next day?

Hi, I have had this a couple of times. I dont really remember anything from the procedure apart from them looking at my back and telling me they were going to sedate me. I was able to move around after about an hour. I was sore for about 3 days after, just like a bad version of the pain I was already in. After 3 days I had improvement, and was actually pain free for about a month. Unfortunately it didn't last any longer than that for me.

Ah that's rubbish for you... I'm not 100% they will work for me but I'm hopeful

OP do you mind me resurrecting this thread (or anyone else who cares to join!?)
I fractured my L1 in July 2019 and still having ongoing pain and stiffness, so am looking into these. Really hopeful my GP goes for it, but it worries me they haven't suggested it and I found out about it myself.

How did it go for you OP? Did you have relief?
