Random bruising on arms

I sometimes get weird bruises on my inner arms, for no apparent reason. Pics attached. Anyone any idea why? Seems a bit too little to bother the GP with

Watch strap?

If this is new, then you should certainly speak to your GP. You can have a video consultation and show them the bruises.
Do you get bruises anywhere else? If you cut yourself, does the cut bleed for a long time, or stop fairly quickly? Have you been tired or breathless lately? Are you on any medication that can lead to easy bruising, such as rivaroxaban, warfarin, prednisolone, non steroidal anti inflammatories, dipyridamole?
It is most likely nothing to worry about, but your GP may want to exclude some of the rare but serious possibilities. That would involve going in to the practice for a blood test. Give them a call, OP - we can only speculate on MN. You definitely would not be wasting their time.

Unexplained bruising is something which needs to be checked by a GP, who should order a full blood count.

Do you have fatigue, aching joints/bones, night sweats, bleeding/sore gums, nosebleeds, or infections which take a long time to shake off?

Thanks for the replies. @nether I do actually have fatigue, aching joints and night sweats and happened to be on the phone to the GP about it all yesterday but completely forgot to mention the bruises Confused.

She ordered a load of bloods, including for thyroid function as mine was a bit low the last time they checked

Ok, I’ve emailed the GP to follow up with the pictures.

Hope it goes well - a straightforward set of bloods (including full blood count) will rule in/out a lot of possibilities

It would be a good idea to get it done sooner rather than later

Hope you're OK

How did your results turn out? Experiences similar issues at the moment, so I’m curious how you are now.
