I’m 48, female, no big health problems to date. I’m a bit overweight, exercise regularly, drink infrequently, don’t smoke, eat healthily.
Over the last couple of years, I’ve felt more and more “bleugh”. It’s hard to pin down symptoms. Many previous injuries (broken fingers, wrist, rotator cuff in shoulder, lower spine injuries) that have been fine for years have flared up and feel painful more often than not. My periods are still regular, but I’m getting a lot of mid-cycle pain and nausea, and frequent cramping / pelvic pain. My skin feels tight, itchy, irritated ( iwasdiagnosed with rosacea a couple of years ago but this is all over. I used to be able to wear anything in my ears, now every earring I try makes my ears sore and puffy. And I have permanent indigestion (I’ve been diagnosed with GERD previously, was treated).
Is this just part of getting older? Or are thèse all chronic conditions that aren’t going away, and I’ll have to keep treating them? It seems like such a mixed bag of complaints to take to a dr!
