Short menstrual cycle after baby ?

Ds 2 was born 4 months ago by normal way ( DS 1 was c section). Periods returned after about a month ( I am not BFeeding) but my cycle is now 25 days where it used to be 28. Is this normal ? Will it go back to normal ?

mine went down to 25 days too. How old are you? (mine didn't return to 28days, but am pregnant now, so don't know what will happen after)

My DS was born 13 months ago, periods returned after 9 months and since have been shorter, usually anything from 21 to 26 days and they used to be about 30 days. They are also shorter in duration and maybe lighter. Is it the same for you?

hmm, strange isn't it ? Not sure whether to mention to doctor or not. have had a few hormonal hot flushes too. I am 33.
The periods seem shorted but for the days they are here heavier if you know what I mean.

I know what you mean, mine were like that until this last one which just seems light. I'm not sure how long it takes to get normal routine back or if you ever get normal routine back??

Me too - gone from 31 days to 23 though so even more dramatic!!

that is dramatic ! How old is your LO ? have you seen the doc about it ?

my DS turned one this week and my periods returned when he was nine months. My cycles are shorter than before I had him. The latest one was 27 days which is the shortest I have ever had in 20 years! I think I read that as you get older they do tend to get shorter (I am 33) but not sure how true that is

Mine were 23 days for years, and I did manage to conceive 2 or 3 children on that.

Now they are lengthening, perhaps because I no longer breastfeed.
