Chilblains/covid toe (warning feet pic)

I've seen a load of stuff about covid toe but I don't have it. I haven't been particularly cold either. Any ideas how these marks would appear on my feet. I'm absolutely baffled. Never had them before.

I don't know but I have the same! Hadn't thought about Covid...
Mine aren't as red but are very painful and under every toe. Seem to have happened overnight.
I did get chilblains the last couple of years but I was commuting in the cold at 6am with inadequate footwear. I've just been working from home in cosy socks and hardly walking at all!
Also have you recently had a baby? I never had chilblains until I had a baby. Like a million other minor issues that have cropped up since. It's like having a child aged me 20 years and my body isn't what it used to be!

I've been getting this over the last few weeks, but with wfh, I think I've been out walking the dog in the beach and got damp / cold feet more often than usual

Hey! No, no babies! I really got a big fright when I googled covid toe. My partner kept saying I had toevid which prompted me to google it. Negative test though.

I've had these over a week now and they started off quite light and are now progressively getting darker and darker. Absolutely stumped! Really hoping they don't go black!

My feet are so bloody disgusting looking btw - apologies to anyone having to look at those pics! Badly need some primping

Think you may need a second test.

Zzz1234 · 08/11/2020 21:01

I used to get chillblains loads, was told to pee on them in the shower so I did, I can't remember if it worked (I was a teenager and now in 40's) but worth a try

Covid toe is frequently a post viral thing, and usually occurs in asymptomatic patients (hence particularly common in kids/teens) so you may have had covid a long time ago....

Ontheroad18 · 08/11/2020 21:01

Mmm I just Googled Covid toe! The redness/swollenness on top looks just like mine! Coincidentally I did take a Covid test last week for change of taste/smell but it was negative... have you had other symptoms?

Makegoodchoices · 08/11/2020 21:04

I had constant chilblains for a few months and the Zoe app asked me to get a test. Turned out to be that lockdown meant I wasn’t going out, so I was wandering about barefoot all the time and my feet were not enjoying it.
