Pain Medication

I've been taking codeine and naprozen (not full allowed dosage but every day 1-3 tables) for a severe pain in my lumbar spine for about 2 months now, before that over the counter alternatives for another 4 months.

I wasn't feeling very well last week and I decided to have a few days without pain Medication. Initially I felt OK but now day 3 I'm in tremendous pain.

Has anyone else experienced this delay in the pain kicking in?

(I'm seeing another Consultant this week about injections I'm getting as I've had MRI etc and they can see a lot of tissue damage)

Most likely its the build up in your system that has worked its way out of your system.

Cant say I've ever experienced it as I'm not on long term pain relief, but with coming off most meds, they tend to advise coming off them slowly, cutting down the doseage until you hit zero...
