Kidney function results - help please!

Hi
I had a range of blood tests this week which were all normal except for kidney function. The creatinine was in normal range but the eGFR was 72. It should be more than 90. The lab report states this is “consistent with CKD stage 2”, but my GP reviewed the result and noted it as “satisfactory”.
I’m now confused. Does it need following up? Should I be concerned? After consulting Dr Google I am worried!

They should ask for a repeat blood test to see if it goes back into normal range. If you are concerned book a telephone consultation to discuss but try not to worry.

eGFR is reported in millilitres per minute per 1.73m2, using a formula that takes body size into account. A normal eGFR is greater than 90, but values as low as 60 are considered normal if there is no other evidence of kidney disease

People with mildly low gFR (between 60 and 89) may not have kidney disease if there is no sign of kidney damage, such as protein in their urine. these people should have their gFR checked more often. they may be asked to avoid medications that can damage the kidneys (such as ibuprofen) or reduce the dose of medicines that are removed by the kidneys^
