Intense pins and needles in heart area

Can anyone advise what could be causing this?

I've had really strong bouts of pins and needles in my heart area daily since March. I had CV at this time too, so I'm blaming CV causing this.

Gp has been no help, says he doesn't know what it is. It comes on really quickly, tingles and intense strong pain for a few minutes then subsides. About 20 times a day every day.

Anyone had this, or have experience of this without he CV connection?

How are you feeling? I would ring 111 if you're still feeling it.

Are you diabetic? Diabetics may not feel pain of heart-attack/TIA but just a sensation. You absolutely need a second opinion/referral.

Are you sure your muscles aren't in spasm?

Tootsey11 · 07/11/2020 09:39

Ive never had this before.

Muscle spasm, don't think so. Gp done a dipstick urine test for diabetes, negative, but I've read they are not a reliable test.

I'm thinking nerve compression or damage. There is something going on, and doctor won't listen. Just looks at me and says your fine.

I'm 45, female and through the menopause already.

Is there another doctor you could see/speak to at the practice?

No, small practice, one Gp only
