B/P after the age 40

I just read a comment where someone said no one blood pressure is around 110's/70's range after the age 40 and the doctors just want to push medications. How much is this true?

Not much I wouldn't have thought. In my experience GPs don't start prescribing until its regularly more than 140/90 as a general rule. You wouldn't be prescribed it for 120/80, as that's top end of normal, so 110/70 is fine.

That's nonsense. Whoever said that is dim.

Did you read correctly? What IS true is that 110/70 is ideal and 120/80 is the highest reading acceptable as normal, at any age.
