Faecal immunology test

Hi
Has anyone had to do this&if so how long did it take to get results?
I had a blood test as my legs get very heavy&achey at times.they feel like lead sometimes!
Anyway the test came back saying I was iron deficient.gp txt me very early the morning after I'd had the test done, saying she'd sent the prescription for the iron tabs straight across to my local chemist&to go a pick up one of those faecal immunology tests from the surgery as sometimes it can be caused by bleeding in the bowel.
I don't have periods anymore as have had a hysterectomy.so it's 'unexplained'.
It says they send gp the results within 11 days&if I haven't heard anything by 14 days to ring gp. 14th day is tomorrow &not heard anything yet.so am wondering if this is usual &that no news is good news? Or is it unusual&maybe they're backlogged due to Covid or something.
Can anyone tell me?
TIA

I'd ring your GP if you don't hear from them by tomorrow. A lot of my practice GPs don't work full time so if test results arrived on day 11 they might not look at them for a couple of days, let alone get round to ringing you. If there was anything of concern and they had them I'm sure they'd have picked up the phone.

Rang for results earlier &all is normal thankfully.
Not sure what the next step is but I know I've gotta carry on taking the iron tabs til the 2 months are up then make an appointment to have my bloods tested again&see what my levels are then.
