Low pitched vibrating tinnitus

For over 12 months now, I have had a vibrating sort of sound in my right ear only that feels like my actual inner ear is vibrating.

It's loud, but if I'm talking it stops. It's worse with no background noise. It's worse at night before I go to sleep.

I assumed this was tinnitus, & although annoying, I have read up on it & there's not a lot that can be done. I don't get sick with it, I don't vomit. I don't get terribly dizzy if at all.

I'm concerned as when mentioning this to my GP, she seemed alarmed that I only had it in one ear. I think anxiety makes it worse & I'm incredibly anxious about certain things atm.

She has referred me to ENT for an MRI, & already I'm googling & finding things about tumours sat on one of the nerves of the inner ear...

Anyone have any similar experiences?

Thank you.
