Nipple thrush?

Couple of months ago I was in bed with my new boyfriend. He started kissing my boobs, thought nothing of it. Since then a rash\dry skin has appeared on the areola and around the nipple. It is flaky skin but often rubs against bra or gets wet in shower and becomes red and sore with it weeping until it days and scabs over again. Thought it would heal in time but still the same.

Is it possible that he has given me thrush of the nipple? Or a cold sore on which has infected the area?
Don’t know if it was this incident that has caused it but trying think back to possible causes around the time I noticed it appear.

Any advise on how to make it better and go away? Is there anything I can try over the counter to stop me going to the dr as with COVID they don’t really want to see patients.
I have had lots of dry skin on face and swollen eyes over last few weeks too. Not sure if this is or can be related

Thanks

I had nipple thrush when BF my son and it is really painful and itchy, but more so the actual nipple rather than areola.

I think maybe he has just irritated it a bit - see how you get on over the next day or so but if it gets worse/more painful then ask at the chemist.

I had a cream and then tablets but they were prescribed, if it is mild and pharmacist thinks it is thrush then canesten should do the trick. xx
