Anyone had shingles...what does it feel like?

I have been suffering a weird sunburn-like sensation on the left side of my back and around the side under my armpit and boob (it started on my back on Friday and has slowly crept round the side). No marks/spots though.

Does this sound like shingles and how long before a rash would appear?

Ive just posted on another thread about shingles, I had them in almost in same place as Yours!

Only think is can’t remember if the spots came after the pain or if they started at the same time. I remember having like 1 or 2 when my mind thought shingles.. then I got another 5 after a few days!

Covid can cause a shingle like rash.

It itches like hell until you scratch it and then it feels like multiple needles being jabbed into you.

I had these as a teen, was quite run down and then had a sunburn sensation from my belly button all the way round to my back. Became very itchy within a few days and then the spots manifested.
