I regularly get spots/ingrown hairs on my thighs.
Today I have this and it feels massive as though it is sticking out of my skin
sad

It doesnt have a head to it.

Also any ideas as to why I get these spots? Are they ingrown hairs?

Have been to dr a couple of times about it but they usually say they are ingrown hairs but I tend to get a couple each time on each thigh. Then ages goes by and I dont get any...

My late night googling made me think it could be hidradenitis suppurativa but I dont think it is anywhere near as severe to be this and also they never really hurt...other than when my thighs rub together

In fact it doesn't really hut when my thighs rub together...I'm just aware of the lump..

Here is a picture of my other thigh...ignore the sore bit in the middle as that was from a dressing..does anyone know what these spots are? They have kind of healed now...would this be a healed in grown hair? Advanced practitioner said it was. I put magnesium sulphate paste on and a pale blood kind of liquid was drawn out...

1st pic is the one I sent to the gp..2nd is after mag sulphate paste etc...

Looks like Hidradenitis suppurativa (sorry if that's bolded! I copied and pasted it as can never recall how to spell it!)

I wondered if it could be that but doesn't seem as severe as some people seem to describe... Will try and go back to the doctor ...is there anything I can do to prevent/treat?

Do you wash with hibiscrub? That's supposed to really help
