What can I give my sicky DS to eat?

My ds2 (nearly 14 months) has been vomiting on and off since wednesday last week - thursday night was the peak of it where even the water he was drinking was coming back up and he was admitted to the childrens ward for observation. They sent us back home on friday but he has been being sick on and off since then - the last time was about 1am this morning. He's now only drinking water and we're trying him with totally plain foods - dried bread, plain pasta or potatoes. But today he's eating nothing! He's screaming for other foods that the other kids have but he just brings anything fatty (even milk/cheese) or any fruit or vegetables straight back up!
Any ideas what i could give him that might interest him?
Is it pointless to take him back to the GP (he's not dehydrated - having wet nappies)?
Any thoughts very welcome!

dry toast, packet of quavers, rich tea biscuits, cereal (made with half water half milk) or just show him the cupboard and let him choose what he fancies.

have u tried scrambles egg and toast. did this with my dd and think it helped. also rich teas or digestives just so there is something in his tummy. nothing worse than being sick and having nothing to bring up. its really didtressing for you as well as him

tried letting him eat what he fancied - but then saw chocolate buttons that he'd stolen off his older brother come right back up! but quavers might be a good idea - sure that'll make him drink!

been trying the plain biscuit thing for days now and think he's fed up with them! he's just so desperate for the food that the other kids have but then that just sets him off again!

Honey sandwiches - they taste the same on the way up as on the way down

No idea why, but when my DD had this bug really badly last Xmas (her first time) the only thing she could keep down was scrambled eggs. Even bananas & digestives came straight up
