If you press on your stomach...

If you press on your stomach, slightly above your belly button and 2 fingers to the right, can you feel something? I can feel a lump but not too sure whether I'm just feeling my own insides! The GP says he can't feel anything but I swear it's there!

The diaphragm could be tense. This is pretty hard. Or possibly your liver if far enough accross to your right. That should be easy for your doctor to feel if it seems abnormal. If you are worried seek a second opinion. Show them exactly where the lump is and if nothing to worry about ask them to explain what it is so your mind is at ease.
Your bowels can feel lumpy when food is being digested, liquid and gas being felt in different areas. So could be that too.
