Horrible viral infection.

Struggling with what I think are viral symptoms (not Covid symptoms) interested to see if anyone else has had it? Starts off with tiredness and weird dizziness, very much in the ears, sinuses, awful pain in jaw, teeth, head, burning eyes. Tinnitus worse, marshmallow head. Then progresses to nausea, bowel cramps and exhaustion and weakness with mild breathlessness? I've had it for ten days now, no vomiting or fever thank God but feel dreadful and no sign of it easing off (joy). Have got my DH at home after major surgery, so I can't rest as looking after him and no one to look after me boo hoo (feeling sorry for myself).

I have something similar since last Monday. I have all your symptoms but don't have tinnitus instead had sore throat for first four days and low grade fever for 5 days. I have a minor cough 2-3 times a day and more like throat clearing but still my throat hurts sometimes like I have coughed a lot.
I still have fatigue and can't do much work.
I don't think it's covid as I got it from DH and he got it from DD and she was tested as she had high fever. She took 10 days to recover, DH still not recovered completely after 15 days and I am on day 9 and still feel miserable.
To me the viral feels worse than a cold but less than a flu.

I think I’ve got this. It started a week ago but has got worse over the last 3 days. Marshmallow head, headaches, sinuses, short of breath but hardly coughing, keep getting hot and cold but temperature has stayed within normal range. Bowels not happy, nausea and loss of appetite. Very weak and tired. I look terrible too - bloodshot slightly yellow eyes.

Glad it’s not just me but I also hope you are all feeling better soon.

Hi @Literallyfedup and @biggirlknickers sorry to hear you are poorly too. I think this may be a bit of a clinger, I'm on day 12 now and after a few good hours yesterday mistakenly thought I could power through my to do list. Woke up this morning feeling hotter and more breathless than usual, sinuses pounding and nauseous again. Like you though, my temp is normal but I literally feel like I'm burning up. So weird. Just sick of the dizziness and weird far away feeling I'm getting from my sinuses. Hope it buggers off for us all soon. Not pleasant being this ill in the era of Covid, second guessing everything.
