Please reassure me that things will all be okay if DD (almost 15 months)has her MMR tomorrow ! Getting very nervous now. We have a family wedding coming up on Saturday and am hoping that she won't become ill from the vaccination as it could ruin the whole weekend for her and us !
I'm also now beginning to panic about all the horror stories you hear about them becoming "different children" after their MMR's. Obviously I understand that there are benefits and risks to everything, ut my poor old brain is just going over the bad stuff at the moment (hence why I'm still awake !!)

Anyone help reassure me ?

my ds was fine not a bother and completly his normal happy self after 20 minutes i wouldnt worry enjoy the weddingoh and i always give a spoon of calpol post needles to keep fever away

i was very concerned when my DS had his MMR, especialy as everyone was concerned about a link with autism at the time. i thought and worried about it for a long time, before deciding to go ahead. Happy to say there were absolutely no side effects at all. Not even a fever!

I have no concerns about my second DS having the injection when the time comes for him.

I know all children are different, but my sisters three children all had the MMR and they were all fine, as were all of my friends children. Hope this helps ease your mind.

They get a bit of a rash about ten days later but no unwell side-effects after mmr. we give 24hrs calpol just to keep the risk of fever etc down too.

my dd was fine - no rash or anything. She didnt even cry when the needle went in. I'm hoping ds will be the same (due in a months time)

I worried as well - but DS was absolutely fine. Screamed when needle went in but absolutely no after effects. About a week to 10 days' later he went off his food for all of a day but no idea if that had anything to do with it. Indeed he seemed to have less reaction to this immunization than others! Hope it all goes well.
