I see on gut related threads sometimes, people recommend taking a 'good probiotic' - I think this means capsule type things rather than little chilled drink products, but does anyone have any specific recommendations of brand names? There seem to be so may different types of products, not sure what I should go for.

Thank you, just looked and those, and they do get good reviews. I am a IBS-D type, also rapid transit, undigested food; don't know whether than makes a difference about which type of product to take.

Hello. I like Optibac (the every day extra strength are the ones I take). I started taking these on the advice of a GP due to horrendous eczema and they really really do keep it under control. They have also done wonders for my (admittedly mild) IBS. I was sceptical but they have been really beneficial for me.

If you have IBS, look for one without FOS in it. Optibac have a few fos free probiotics in their range.
