I’m so sore “down there”

I’m so fed up, this has been going on for runs 6 weeks now.

I seem to have thrush, an an fissure and hidradenitis suppurativa all in one go.

My anus is so sore after every bowel movement (o have ibs-d). It’s constantly burning and I feel like I “leak” a lot. Like after I’ve been lol and fully cleaned myself up, a little while later I need to clean again.

I’m so itchy too. I’m pretty sure it’s thrush but it’s only on the outside.

And to top it off I have hidradenitis suppurativa, which keeps popping up since july. I go a week or so withou one then I get a sharp pain and realise another boil has popped up.

I feel SO fed up. I’m so sore. I can barely walk or sit.

I don’t know what to do 😩

Do you need to see a gynaecologist I wonder?

So sorry you have all, this grim stuff to carry - or to sit on in fact!

QuestionableMouse · 23/10/2020 22:49

Yellow nappy rash cream might help with the soreness. Maybe a ring cushion to take the pressure off that area?

delilahbucket · 23/10/2020 22:52

Have you spoken to a doctor? I had thrush a few weeks ago and it was only external and horrendous. I got a tablet and used a combination of hydrocortisone and canesten to try and control the itch. I didn't sleep for two weeks as it was waking me up.
For the back, have you tried sudocrem? It will soothe but also act as a barrier.

Fatted · 23/10/2020 22:53

You mentioned you have IBS. Is there not a connection between Crohns and hidradenitis suppurativa?

QueenPaws · 23/10/2020 23:00

Oh Sad I also have HS
does washing after a bowel movement help? I have a bidet bottle I use sometimes. Then sudocrem as barrier cream
Vicks can help with the pain for the HS but depends when they are as would be cautious if it's thrush

Try daktarin intensive. For a solid week. You may need two tubes. Seriously. Treat it as if its jock itch and see if it helps?

You poor thing

Lisette1940 · 24/10/2020 01:07

I get recurring thrush - skin gets sore due to thrush so that it comes right back. No discharge just soreness. Also allergic to canestan so need to use the tablet and a steroid cream. Perhaps a GUM clinic might be able to advise, particularly since you've several issues there. Could you be getting thrush from the bowel problem as it's really hard to keep the area clean? Poor you, you must be so miserable

Lisette1940 · 24/10/2020 01:10

Perhaps also a diabetes check?

Thedarksideofthemoon30 · 24/10/2020 18:08

I will ring the doctors on Monday.

I’m so sore today. It’s making me feel so run down. I have a boil popped up and it’s so painful. And my bum is sore too as I’v had ibs d all day 😩

Sounds like there is a lot going on here. Things to consider -

Oral treatment for thrush to really knock it on its head - doctor can prescribe a 7 day course of Fluconazole treatment or you can buy 150mg once daily one day treatment over the counter.

Vaginal atrophy- you may be low on oestrogen even if not menopausal age and even more likely if you are. Low oestrogen can cause all these issues and make them worse. Doctor can prescribe Ovestin internal oestrogen cream of Vagifem. If this doesn’t work completely consider HRT.

Try Vaseline, sudocrem or even a non fragranced moistuiser. Daktarin is really good too, you can buy this at a pharmacy.

CherryRipe1 · 24/10/2020 18:53

Please find a good cream for the anal fissure as this can turn chronic. A sitz bath that fits over the loo' is great for soothing anal probs and also sudocrem. Treat the thrush as per Bagelsandbrie's advice but have pre and probiotics after thrush treatments. You do have alot going on and I think diet and supplements will help. I saw some stuff on The Skin Clinic and/or The Food Hospital on tv re treatments and diet for HS and IBS. There is some thinking that IBS can be linked to SIBO. I think a diet overhaul is key. Also a GP visit.
