Unexplained bruising

Hi all, just wanted to ask if anyone has woken up to bruising on any part of their body?
Definitely haven't knocked or bumped into anything at work or at home.
They are on my stomach which is odd.

I've tried to attach a photo, it's not flattering but hey ho.
I will be calling doctor for advice tomorrow but was wondering if anyone had experienced anything similar?

I was going to say I often have unexplained bruising. Sometimes I think that I kind of remember thinking that I would get a bruise, but I really can't think from which. I've one on my knee currently I have no idea where it came from-it's black and about the size of an old 50p.

But what you've shown there would worry me. I think you need to be seen, and quickly. If the GP won't see you (I think you need to be seen, not just telephone call), then I really think A&E isn't an overkill.

It could be a virus, which has done something to the blood clotting properties of your blood-ds had that a few times when he was a baby, for example, but you really do need to get that checked-even if it's gone tomorrow, I think.

A friend did she saw the gp surgery and they did some bloods. Probably best to speak to the gp as you may also need bloods.

I would call 111 now just to be on the safe side.

Only just managed to communicate with surgery, going to have bloods taken. Thanks for your replies. Have had to wait for a call back from nurse at the surgery.
The appointments and call back system seems quite chaotic plus I work full time and can't afford to take time off so blood tests next Tuesday.
