Pain after endoscopy

had an endoscopy yesterday, 8 bisopsies were taken and I felt sharp pulls during the procedure. My throat is fine today, but when I swallow food or liquid and it passes down my throat to hit top of my stomach it really hurts, I had to stop drinking a cup of tea last night it hurt that much. Is that normal after biopsies? From what I've read people say they feel no pain so a bit worried

I know of a lady that felt pain after hers for couple of days if you are experiencing pain after today I’d get in contact with either your GP or the dept where it was done, I’m going to hosp today as having severe pains in stomach and know I will be put in for endoscopy when I see my gastrologist this afternoon, did you have sedation.? Or just throat spray! Oh bless you you had a lot of biopsies taken, Hope you feel better very soon

I’m presuming you have to wait few days for your results op hope everything turns out well, I’m suspecting I have stomach ulcer

@CambsAlways I had sedation and expected to go to sleep but was awake the entire procedure, not particularly pleasant. Yeh ill give them a ring this evening if its not easing as I'm struggling to eat which I'm sure isn't too normal. Good luck with yours, you have my sympathy with stomach pain. I hope you get to the bottom of the issue x

Thankyou it’s been going on for many months I’m afraid, but yes has to be done, luckily I’m not a panicker but nevertheless not looking forward to it naturally, but need to know what’s going on had enough now! Thinking of you x
