LLETZ procedure - experiences please!

Hi all,

I had a lletz procedure for CIN1 and 2 changes this afternoon. It wasn’t fun, obviously, but not unbearable. At the moment I’m having occasional minor cramps and I haven’t had any bleeding since I got home. From what I’ve read online, this seems to get worse over coming days - is that true?

Generally I just feel a bit headachey and bleh. I really want to book some work trips over the next week or two, but I’m holding off in case I start to feel worse.. Would he great to hear some other experiences though, so I’ve got some idea of what to expect.

It didn't get any worse for me
I had very little bleeding and no pain

The procedure on the other hand ... probably the most traumatic thing I've ever experienced and I've pushed a baby out with no pain relief

When I had treatment i did have some bleeding/discharge however this began on the first day and then gradually improved.

Would agree that it all got better after the first day or two, not worse

Same - don’t remember any issues after day 2. Not sure who told you it gets worse but it doesn’t make sense to me that it does. You’ve been cut - it heals and gets better after time. Hope all goes well.
