Hi all, I had laser eye surgery (SMILE -similar to lasik but with a cap rather than a flap) last Tuesday and am badly regretting it. Has anyone had a similar experience and can reassure me? I'm freaking out that I've made a terrible mistake.
During the consultation process the optometrist told me that I have ABMD (where the top layer is not as well attached as it should be). They reassured me that it would still be fine to do the surgery, but said that the recovery time could be a little bit longer but I didn't expect anything like this! My eyesight is still awful (my phone is 10cm away from my face to type this). I've got bandage contact lenses on, but keep getting pains and tugging from erosions in my left eye. I really wish could turn back the clock and not have had it done, but I can't.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
