Pregnancy safe cream for back acne

Hi all.

I'm currently pregnant and have developed terrible acne on the top of my back, between my shoulder blades. The whole area is red and angry looking with continuous spots developing

Does anyone know of any pregnancy safe creams/lotions I could use? Is E45 safe? I don't want to bother my GP with what is essentially spots as I know how much strain the NHS is under at the moment.

E45 won’t do anything will it?

I’d try a salicylic acid toner first, Johnson and Johnson’s

If that doesn’t work, your next step is benzoyl peroxide. I’m not sure if it’s safe in pregnancy but I’m sure a google will tell you. It’s over the counter anyway so you can ask a pharmacist.

Thank you! No idea why E45 popped into my head.. and now that I think about it, I actually meant Savlon as it's antiseptic.

I've added the Clean and Clear lotion to my shopping list and will give it a whirl. If I don't have any success, I will pop to the pharmacist for advice.
