Hi, I had the flu vaccine today and feeling really achy tonight. I just wondered if any of you have had it recently and felt the same? The last few years when I have had the vaccine I felt fine except for a sore arm for a couple of days bit this year I feel achy and a bit rough.

Hope you feel better soonFlowers

I had it on Monday and just had a sore arm for a night. Hope you feel better soon!

Yes I'm normally ok with the flu jab but had mine on Monday and felt a bit achy and generally under the weather, only lasted a couple of days and back to normal by Thursday.

TommyandGina · 04/10/2020 08:17

Yes, I had it Weds last week along with the pneumonia jab and was really achy that night as well as cold and shivery. That's unlike me to react like that. Hope you feel better soon.

Pickypolly · 04/10/2020 08:18

Yeah, perfectly normal.
It takes 2 weeks to build up full immunity, you can still pick up a cold or flu in this time. So you may have picked something up prior to having the vacs.
Nothing that fluids and paracetamol can’t deal with though for now.

Thanks, feeling less achy this morning but have sneezed about 10 times! Confused

So glad to find this thread. I had the flu jab Friday, felt rough yesterday & haven't even been able to get out of bed today. Absolutely agonising stomach pain all night Confused. I'm usually fine other than achy arm. I ended up having a COVID test due to high temperature. Surely this can't all be side effects of the jab?

whataballbag · 04/10/2020 15:39

Felt a bit crappy achey and tired for 24-48 hours after mine and a sore arm but otherwise fine

It's so weird I have had a stomach ache also as today has progressed and a bit of nausea

Had the quad one. Nurse told me it's not active so the only side effect I would get is the sore arm. She said any sniffles/sneezes would be from something else other than the jab.

Fefifoefum · 04/10/2020 16:30

Absolutely no side effects here

jd88124 · 15/10/2020 22:14

Hey I had the flu jab yesterday and have had loads of side effects, sore arm, achy, shivery, high temp and feeling exhausted. My heart has been beating really fast today and having palpitations. If it's not better by tomorrow I'm going to see the doctor. I've heard of a few people having adverse effects this year.

Justyou · 15/10/2020 22:16

The 4 of us had it last week including 2 children and nothing at all bar a mildly sore arm for a day or two

CeeceeBloomingdale · 15/10/2020 22:17

I had one at the weekend, I had a sore arm, swollen lymph nodes, lethargy and nausea for a couple of days. I was a bit shivery on the first day too.
