Had some spotting for a few days now nothing - 9 months after having a baby no period yet

Is this normal? I haven't had a period yet but am bf so this is ok. I thought my period was starting a few days ago as I had some brown when I wiped so put a pad on and noticed tiny bits of brown in it. After a couple of days now nothing more. Any ideas?

Yep sounds like your periods coming back, they can take MONTHS to get back to normal or can come back with a vengeance (as mine did at nine months). Don't worry you'll be cramping with the best of us soon

Ok thanks, was worrying it could be something else, wasn't sure what though. I'm still bf a lot night and day so was surprised. Pregnancy did cross my mind but as dh had the snip when ds2 was 3 weeks old that's not going to happen hehe.

God your newborn must have been horrid to drive you DH to that

FYI it might be worth doing a pregnancy test though - the snip doesn't always work

Oh dear don't let dh hear that, he would die I think if I was! Lol he wasn't too bad just didn't sleep much, but he's our 3rd and dh only ever wanted 1 so we agreed to it after he was born. He got a cancellation through which is why it was so soon.

took mine a year to come back if thats reassuring at all. AND they didn't hurt so much, or were too heavy!
take a pregnancy test to put your mind at rest though, but i really wouldn't fret.

Mine was exactly the same. Had brown spotting for about 2 days the 1st and 2nd month then came back properly the next month and since then the cycles have been a bit random, some months 21 days, some months 28 days etc. Period came back at about 9-10 months after giving birth.

Thanks, I've had no more spotting since and no period. I'll be pleased not to have it back yet at least! Haven't taken a test though.
