Has anyone tried “Rescue Remedy”

I have a dental appointment next week that I am worrying about so much.

I am getting oral surgery on an impacted canine which I will be awake for. I even hate check ups so I’m very much freaking out!

Have heard rescue remedy is great so if anyone could share any experiences using it that would be fab Smile

The spray is good. However I am reasonably sure that this is because the 'suspension of alcohol' it comes in is 90% brandy.

Please don’t worry. I had n operation in my mouth where they were literally sawing through my gums. I was awake and mouth numbed. Didn’t feel a thing. Being numbed is awesome.

I used it for my first 2 pregnancies and forgot about it for years before buying it again a few weeks ago. Works for me!

I like it. Have found it helpful when anxious.

CorianderLord · 24/09/2020 16:40

I use it for help with insomnia.

@Helpmeplease6 it's not always the pain people are worried about. Every procedure I've had I also haven't felt pain. But the thought and sensation of it happening almost always makes me pass out.

Itsanemergencyyyy · 25/09/2020 07:30

Thanks for the replies, I’m definitely going to give it a shot.

It’s not really the fear of pain during the procedure I’m worried about. I’m really anxious because I don’t know step by step what’s going to happen, I feel really sick when anxious so scared I end up being sick.. the list goes on!

Every time I have something nerve wracking to do afterwards I always say, that wasn’t so bad! I keep telling myself this is what I will be like after my appointment but it’s not working!

Yes we use it. We have the tablets and so just put two under your tongue. I find it takes some time to work so don't expect an immediate calming effect.

I've taken rescue remedy in the past, and I do believe it works. I've had the little jellies.

I've had impacted wisdom teeth removed whilst awake. Trust me, you won't feel a thing once they've put the anaesthetic in. You can do it Thanks
