Is this a sinus issue?

Does this sound like my sinuses? My upper gum on one side is really red and swollen, my cheek on that side also feels like there is pressure there and behind my eye on the same side. Also have a headache and sore throat. Can sinuses cause swollen gums?

Yes, sinuses can cause jaw pain and pressure and if you have post nasal drip then your gums can get infected, red and swollen too. But it can be other way round too , a gum infection that is left untreated can cause sinus infection. If your sinuses got flared after a recent cold, viral or hay fever then the problem is your sinuses. If you are spitting blood after brushing then it is your gums and in turn they are flaring your sinuses.
If your sinus pain is that bad and it is has occurred recently then get antibiotics from GP. If it has been more than 4 weeks then get a steroid nasal spray prescription as it will not go away on its own.

Please see a dentist - they will do x rays to look for the root of the infection

Thank you. My gums are a lot better today. I have a dentist appointment booked for Monday to check though just in case
