and what does BMI mean? how do i work it out?
cheers.
just trying on my shorts from last year (off to spain on Sat) and I can just about get them over my thighs and can just about do the buttons up - I can't wear them without being totally uncomfortable - I am so cheesed off. I will probably gain half a stone on hols anyway.

bmi calculator

Gobbledispook · 09/10/2007 11:44

Gosh I don't know. I'm 5'6 and small/medium and I weigh about 9 stone and am size 8-10.

Don't know if that's helpful!

FattyChick · 09/10/2007 11:46

9 stone sound slim for someone 5ft 6ins - i'm jealous .

BMI is Body mass Index, which is the amount of weight you have in proportion to your height. Usually done in KG/M squared
A normal BMI is between 18.5 and 25.

Divide your weight in kilograms (2.2 pounds) by your height in metres squared.

SSSandy2 · 09/10/2007 11:49

according to that link if you are 5.3, you need to be between 8-10 stone to be in the healthy range.

FattyChick · 09/10/2007 11:53

thanks - yeah I am a bit over what i should be.
