Tinnitus - issue with teeth?

DS (20) said last night he's having a problem with sounds in his ear. So Tinnitus we guess. Says it's been bad for a few weeks and is really bothering him. No pain or anything.

On further questioning after telling him about the little bones in his ear and how it can all be linked to his jaw and teeth etc, he says he has a slight uncomfortable feeling in his jaw and that his front teeth feel different, like one "has a piece missing" which we eventually concluded that it maybe feels a bit shortened and more uneven, there is nothing that I can see.

DH is all for looking into what we can do to help him manage the tinnitus (given that it generally isn't associated with anything nasty) which I don't disagree with regarding finding coping strategies/products, but I think he needs to see a Dr. He does right?
