A couple of weeks ago I noticed bright red blood when I wiped. Not just a streak quite a drop.I am aware of cancer as th has had it twice df died of it.
This week I had diorreah took an. Immodium. When I got home I still had tum pains.when I had a bowel movement I saw quite a bit of bright red blood in the bowl!
As far as I am aware I don't have piles.E everything seems ok today.
Should I call GP anyway?

Yes call them, the dr should request a stool sample and do an examination at the very least. Do mention DF.
I also don’t have piles but had Dozens of episodes of bright blood whilst waiting 8 months for a colonoscopy, which was all clear so there still isn’t an explanation but, at least I know it’s nothing to worry about.
I hope all turns out to be okay for you.

Yes, definitely call the doctor right away!

There are all sorts of things it could be, but it's important to rule out certain things first, just in case. Don't let your GP fob you off.

As pinkshrimp says, you can have issues like this without it meaning anything that needs urgent treatment, so don't panic. Smile

Most likely to be piles but is important to get it checked. Bright red is better than dark red as indicates it is coming from lower down. Hope you're okay Flowers
