Hi,
My Mum has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She's been told it's all very treatable and has had bone scans and a CT or MRI I can't remember, and also a PET scan so very thorough. The only thing that has shown up on these scans is one enlarged node on the PET scan and an ultrasound has been done and biopsy taken.
Mum has also had an ECG to check her heart as this was necessary to decide on her treatment plan.
Since having the ECG, Mum had a voicemail asking her to go for one more appointment for a biopsy of her clavicle. She's says she's not worrying about it as nothing showed on the PET scan. She's thinking something showed up on the ECG but I'm not sure if this can be right?
As Mum isn't worried, I don't want to keep mentioning it, and the biopsy is on Monday and the appointment with her oncologist is on Wednesday to hopefully determine the treatment plan. So not long to wait.
However can anyone shed any light on what this additional biopsy is likely for? When they say clavicle do they mean the bone or another node in that area? The other node was in her armpit.
Any insight would be appreciated as I'm worried about her.
Thank you.
