Weird calf pain

Right since December I have had pain in my right calf off and on. I’ve had a dvt scan an ultrasound and nothing.
Can be fine for awhile. But I think I might be mad could it be triggered by skinny jeans, leggings or rubbing/pressure behind knee when Driving.

Now that sounds crazy to me but it is when it gets worse.

Anyone have anything like it. Now the DVT was weeks after it happened as I didn’t have classic signs but gp sent me as it was still a risk. Could the scan have been clear but old resolved clot cause issue?

Bumping for you but I don’t have answers.

My pal used to get this just prior to her period. Could it be that?

No on the pill. But thanks for the bump Smile

Varicose veins?

picklemewalnuts · 17/09/2020 14:08

Cramp? Sometimes a muscle just gets twingey.

picklemewalnuts · 17/09/2020 14:10

If it's a tight/irritated muscle then gentle stretches may help. Standing on the stairs with your heels hanging off, up on toes then down with heels below the step. Just very gently, then build up.

Fibromyalgia?
I've been for various scans like you and no dvt
Then last year, saw a new rheumatologist and he diagnosed fibromyalgia and that's why I kept getting the calf pain.

picklemewalnuts · 17/09/2020 14:51

I wondered about Fibro (I have it too) but to be honest I don't find it a helpful diagnosis. I prefer to look after the area that's giving me pain, with gentle treatments, and find it gets better that way.

I go from injury to injury, but have now realised that it's stress/anxiety that's the issue, not the presenting injury! I make an effort to be kinder to myself, and find it quite effective.

Even on the pill you still have a hormonal cycle. It's not impossible it could be related to this.

I do take vitamin d, my mum has been told she has fibromyalgia and it just felt like they fobbed her off with it after they couldnt help her arthritis. I really hope its not that. I have put tighter leggings on for the first time in weeks and instant calf irritation but am i imagining it....sigh

One of the symptoms for what turned out to be sciatica was cramping in my calf muscles. I also had it in my gluteus maximus, and had no sensation in the sole of my foot. All on the same side.

skippetyskoo · 06/10/2020 09:10

Sciatica caused by something around spine pinching the sciatic nerve eg a bulging disc? You can have a problem with your spine/discs with no back pain but leg pain where the sciatic nerve is being compressed.

JacobReesMogadishu · 06/10/2020 09:12

I had this was worr it was a dvt. Then thought it must be muscle or tendon related. I got an mri in the end as the pain got so bad and it was a cyst in the middle of my fibula.
