Hi, I’ve just found a lump in my gum, the part that joins my upper and lower jaw! My teeth have been sore on that side for a while, like almost a year on and off since I had a filling done. But they’ve started to get sore again, it’s not causing a lot of pain, it’s like a dull ache, more annoying than anything. The lump I found is moveable, not hard but not entirely soft, and feel like there’s another one above it, or it’s all part of a swollen bit of gum. I’m freaking out really bad right now!

Go and see a doctor or dentist. No one on here is going to be able to tell you, but if it is something to worry about then the sooner the better for getting it looked at.

The thing that crossed my mind reading your description was wisdom teeth; have you got them already or could they be trying to erupt?

Thanks for the replies. My dentist is only seeing people if it’s emergencies, I don’t know if this counts as one. My mouth on that side is always a bit sore as I grind my teeth at night. I suffer from health anxiety so my mind is going to some dark places. I’m not sure about my wisdom teeth, I don’t ever remember them coming in or being in pain with them if they did, but there’s no room left for them, so I probably have them. It feels like it’s the same type of lump on the other side but much smaller.

Call the dentist and tell them you are in pain and have a lump in your mouth and need an appointment.

I’ve had to take my dd for dental treatment. Very well equipped: anti virus machine on wall, anti viral mouthwash, masks, visors, aprons etc.
